Saturday 1 November: Glow With Pride Opening Party

Held at the Busselton Cultural Precinct, the Glow With Pride Opening Night Party was officially opened by Councillor Adams from the City of Busselton. We then partied the night away with DJ Sgt Dsko, fabulous face painter Izzie, and performers Sugar Du Joure, Kitty Littèur, & Queen Dakota Howard.

Thanks to amazing generous local sponsors, our opening party night featured a fundraising raffle to held fund our ongoing community programs. Congratulations to Sharon, Bec, and Tiwagon on their win!

Saturday 1 November: Queer Dungeons & Dragons with the YPN

A fun and inclusive D&D game run by LGBTIQA+ Dungeon Masters from the Youth Pride Network, hosted at the People Place.

Saturday 1 November: Expressions of Pride Art Exhibition

This exhibition brought together diverse artists working across painting, sculpture, textiles and poetry, showcasing the voices of LGBTQIA+ artists in the south west.

Sunday 2 November: Pride Paint & Sip

Hosted by Tonic by the Bay, attendees were guided by local artist Rhonda Moore to create unique artworks.

Sunday 2 November: Let's Talk About Sex: Sexual Communication Workshop

A workshop exploring how to communicate about sex, pleasure, boundaries and desire, led by qualified Sexologist and Counsellor, Danae Beckwith from Nurtured Intimacy.

Monday 3 November: Living Library - Stephanie Vaughn

Titled Half Him Half Her, Stephanie's autobiographical book tells the story of her being born intersex, but having that concealed by her parents and finding out the truth 50+ years later.

Tuesday 4 November: Intro to LGBTQIA+ Inclusion and Diversity

Hosted at The People Place, a beginner-friendly session exploring terms, identities, and why LGBTQIA+ rights matter.

Tuesday 4 November: Out Loud - Stories of Queer Joy

A panel discussion on LGBTQIA+ Joy and what makes us thrive.

Wednesday 5 November: Politics at the Pub

Former Senator Brian Greig discussed local and state politics, as he talks all things LGBTQIA+ rights, history and law reform in WA.

Thursday 6 November: Bling It On - Craft Night at Busselton Library

A fun night of making our books sparkle!

Friday 7 November: Supporting Autistic & Neurodivergent Trans & Gender Diverse People

Professional Development Workshop facilitated by Kai Schweizer (BA, GradDipSexol, MSexol, PhD candidate UWA and The Kids Research Institute Australia) exploring the unique experiences of neurodivergent trans and gender diverse people and how we can support them.
