THE ART OF BELONGING
Busselton Pride Alliance is excited to invite artists to submit an Expression of Interest for The Art of Belonging, the community art exhibition as part of the 2026 Pride Wellbeing Festival. We welcome submissions from LGBTQIA+ artists and allies of all ages and experience levels.
The Art of Belonging celebrates identity, connection, community and the many ways we experience belonging. We welcome a wide range of original artworks, including painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, mixed media and more.
The exhibition will be displayed at the Pride Wellbeing Festival at Saltwater Busselton (Performing Arts and Convention Centre) on the 9th to 11th October 2026, and then displayed at Origins Markets, Busselton until Sunday 18 October 2026.
If you are interested in taking part, please email us at events@busseltonpridealliance.org.au and let us know what type of artwork you are interested in submitting. There's no need to decide on your final artwork just yet. Closer to the exhibition we'll ask for details such as artwork title, dimensions, artist statements and display requirements.
CREATE WITH PRIDE
Painting Workshops
If you'd like to create something specifically for the exhibition, we'll also be hosting three relaxed Create for Pride painting workshops, facilitated by local artist Rhonda Moore.
Paint, canvases and basic supplies will be provided, and you're welcome to bring along another creative project if you prefer.
